Bailey gets stick

   The Bay State Hockey League finally eliminated the Walpole Rebels from tourney contention this week, but it took two of the state’s top teams, and it took each until the very end of their respective games to do so.
   On Wednesday night the Rebels hosted Bay State Herget rival Wellesley at the Iorio Arena and found themselves tied with the Raiders 3-all before the visitors finally pulled away in the waning moments of a 5-3 Raider victory.
   Saturday night the Rebels traveled to the home of one of the league’s top teams, Framingham, and turned in a repeat performance, closing to 3-2 in the second before losing, 6-2.
   Each time Coach Jamie O’Leary pulled goalie Bill Sweeney for an extra skater, but the opposition was able to hold off the hard-skating Rebels.
   Framingham, the Globe’s 15th-ranked team, and Herget-leading Wellesley finished the week with a combined record of 21-6-5, showing exactly how far the young Rebels have come the second half of the …
