Field Conditions – THU 4/2

From the Walpole Youth Soccer Association website:

Mylod Field is CLOSED The fields have some wet spots – so be kind to the fields find a good spot to practice.

ELLIS Field is OPEN – but very limited Ellis Field is OPEN – but very limited. If you are desperate for a practice – you can certainly work on skills & drills on some of the field. Be kind to the field – practice on the uphill part of the field – farthest away from the parking lot or whatever part looks best. This field is primarily for u14, u16, u18 teams to practice on. If you have a u11 or u12 team that wants to practice here – please contact Mark Gallivan

———————————————————————
Mylod Field & Ellis Field – The fields are ready to support skills training and drills and small sided games. But they are not yet ready to support goals/nets, goal boxes as they tend to put heavy wear on concentrated spots on the field — if we wear away what little grass is on the fields, since it is not yet growing, it will be June before it starts to grow – please tread lightly. We would expect to be able to set up the goals/nets sometime around April 4th. We will let you know when we need help doing this.

SAT 4/4 8AM SHARP [8-9:30am] – ALL COACHES should report to Mylod Field – we will fix up nets on goals, and move all goals into position on the field and put sandbags [2 each on 6v6 goals, and 3 each on 8v8 & 11v11 goals]. Field Conditions

From the Walpole Youth Soccer Association website:

Mylod & Ellis Field are both CLOSED on Monday March 30th – due to the rain on Sunday & Sunday night.
We hope to have both fields open on Tuesday

Mylod Field & Ellis Field – The fields are ready to support skills training and drills and small sided games. But they are not yet ready to support goals/nets, goal boxes as they tend to put heavy wear on concentrated spots on the field — if we wear away what little grass is on the fields, since it is not yet growing, it will be June before it starts to grow – please tread lightly. We would expect to be able to set up the goals/nets sometime around April 4th. We will let you know when we need help doing this.

This is a good time of year to work on some skills – for example dribbling [inside, outside, bottom, left, right, laces], passing, juggling, 1v1, 2v1, 3v2. You can likely run 4-5 practices without ever needing a big net/goal, and this would actually help the kids allot.

COACHES – schedules are out now for BAYS – go to the website www.bays.org

** POSTPONED until the fields can support Goals/nets & Goal Boxes which take heavy wear ** COACHES – ???????? MYLOD FIELD – we hope to do field setup, unlock & move the goals, add new nets or re-string old nets depending on how they look, move sand-bags to new goal positions, fill in all potholes & any other on the field maintenance that is needed, make any repairs to the parking lot. We will also send a crew to Ellis Field to do the same. If every teams sends 2 coaches/parents – we would expect this to take about 2 hours.
