1st annual Walpole Countryfest, Saturday 9/11

Sponsored by the Walpole Recreation Department and Walpole Youth Football & Cheerleading, the first annual WALPOLE COUNTRYFEST will be held on Saturday, September 11 at the Stone Street Field behind Town Hall and Blackburn Hall.

Fun for all to include: Punt, pass, kick competition with trophies for winners of each age group, country BBQ with ribs, pulled pork, burgers, dogs & Conrad’s famous steak tip subs, facepainting and air tattoos, moonwalks, fried dough, cotton candy, dunk the coaches, and live country music featuring the nationally reknowned, Stan Martin

Cheerleading uniform pickup, 8/22

From the Walpole Youth Football & Cheerleading website:

Cheerleading Squads will be picking up uniforms on Sunday, 8/22 at Raffael’s on route 1A.

  • C Squad – 8:30am – 9:00am
  • D Squad – 9:00am – 10:00am
  • E Squad – 10:00am – 11:00am

No uniforms will be distributed if all required paperwork is not turned in.

C Squad – 8:30am – 9:00am
D Squad – 9:00am – 10:00am
E Squad – 10:00am – 11:00am

Summer Football Clinic

From the Walpole Youth Football & Cheerleading website:

This clinic is led by WHS Head Football coach Barry Greener, local area head and assistant coaches and current and former high school and college players. We will use both the Fitness Center to work on strength training, quickness and foot drills and the Turf Field to work on offensive and defensive drills and skills. Friday will combine both groups at 9-10 for the Fitness Center and from 10-Noon we will have 5 on 5 skeleton passing drills and fun games.

Youth Football Booth @ WALPOLE DAYS

WALPOLE DAYS – Saturday, May 15th from 12:00pm – 3:00pm

Walpole Youth Football will be hosting a booth and we welcome any parents/players to stop by and say hello. There will be a panel of board members & coaches on hand to answer questions you may have about the football program as well as an assorted allotment of sports attire (tee shirts, sweatshirts, etc..) and sports equipment ( cleats, sports girdles, new helmets, etc..)  for sale.

Walpole Rec Dept – GUT CLINIC

The Walpole Recreation Department is sponsoring a GUT CLINIC during the month of July. ( you can register for one(1) week at a time or for all three(3) weeks )

This popular program helps athletes improve in flexibility, strength work on major and minor muscle groups, agility and speed improvements, endurance through constant movement and injury prevention through proper preparation. This program is led by WHS head football coach Barry Greener and is held at the WHS fitness center and the turf field.

2010 ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Registration for Fall 2010 is now open via our new online registration system. Registration will remain open until April 30, 2010.

Please be aware that all players and cheerleaders will be automatically placed on a waiting list until such time as the teams have been determined. Payment is not required, nor accepted, until you are notified that the player or cheerleader has been accepted off of the waiting list.

During the registration process, please be sure to read through the entire waiver and parent code of conduct. This is a requirement of the registration process.

WYFC Online Registration opens March 1, 2010

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2010 WILL BE OPEN FROM MARCH 1, 2010 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2010

Football and Cheerleader registration for 2010 will be opening very soon in March. The WYFC is working hard to set up online registration for your convenience.

As we work on the online registration system, watch your mail for registration reminder postcards sent to returning players and cheerleaders. We’ll also be notifying all of Walpole by placing an ad in the Walpole Times.
