Walpole High AD Erker retires on top a second time

For Walpole native Jim Erker, it’s a job well done. Again.
For the second time, Erker has left Walpole High and the school system on top.
It’s a testament to Erker’s skills and productivity that the retiring Athletic Director again left with the WHS athletics program well organized and in excellent shape, and a testament to his commitment to the system and the children that he decided to return without hesitation in a emergency situation this past year.
Erker, who had retired two years ago with the expectation of playing a lot of tennis and enjoying the fruits of his labor as a long-time Walpole High teacher, coach (track, cross country) and administrator, was asked by Superintendent Lincoln Lynch to return on an interim basis after former AD Danny Villa abruptly resigned amid a scandal involving a rape charge for which is he currently awaiting trial.
